FROM RIVERSIDE- UCLA School of Theater, Film, & Television (TFT) M.F.A. student and award winning director, Steven Huffaker returns to his hometown, Riverside, to cast for his feature length thesis film, ?Love in Moreno Valley.? On Sunday, June 23 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Steven will be holding an open call casting auditions at the La Sierra University Art Department.
?Love in Moreno Valley? is a character-driven teen comedy set in Moreno Valley based on Steven?s years growing up in Riverside. The film is set to shoot this Summer. They are currently searching for interested teenagers between the ages of 13-18 of any ethnicity. They are open to those of little to no acting experience.
?We are looking for intelligent, interesting teenagers that are not typical in some way? Huffaker explains.
There are two ways to be considered: 1) In-person audition on Sunday June 23rd in Riverside at the La Sierra University Art Department, or 2) Submit a video of any quality showcasing your personality to casting@stevenhuffaker.com.

Huffaker received his B.A. in Documentary Filmmaking at UC Santa Cruz and is currently working on his M.F.A. in
Narrative Directing from the UCLA School of Theater, Film, & Television. His award winning short film XR91BioRebellion2.0 (which also co-stars Oscar? Award Nominee, James Franco) was honored as the Best Narrative
Film award on opening night of the UCLA TFT Film Festival this year. On June 13 at the Director?s Guild of America in
Hollywood, CA, XR91BioRebellion2.0 headlined at the Director?s Showcase alongside the nine other winners as the
festival honored the Filmmaker of the Year Award to two-time Oscar? Award winner Ben Affleck (Goodwill Hunting, Argo). Steven co-wrote and directed a short comedy for Sprite Films (2012) called Prom Night. It was named the ?Green Ribbon Panel? winner and screened in 23,000 AMC movie theaters nationwide.
Moreno Valley native, Jerell Rosales (UCLA B.A. Film & TV class of ?12) is attached to produce ?Love in Moreno Valley.?
Rosales? award winning thesis film, ?Born to Dance this Way,? is now approaching its one-year anniversary of its release
and is still going strong in film festivals across the United States. It?s a 2012 Director?s Spotlight Award Winning film and
has screened in fifteen film festivals thus far all over the country. His web series, ?The Broadcast Club,? shot in Pomona, CA, was released on YouTube earlier this year.
?I?m excited to be producing a film set in Moreno Valley which is a city I am proud to have been born in, spent most of my life in, and where I call home. I couldn?t be more excited to be working for Steven who is an incredibly talented director and hilarious guy,? says Rosales.

Sunday June 23 will be the only open call casting session in the Riverside area. Park on Quiet Lane in Riverside, then walk through the campus entrance and the first building on the right side is the art department building ? then follow the signs. A map is available on the website. They are looking for intelligent, interesting teenagers that are not typical in some way that can showcase their personality.
