Prices on some 2013 Hyundai vehicles, including the 2013 Hyundai Accent and the 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe, increase for the new model year. The Accent and Genesis Coupe are both $2,000 more expensive than the 2012 models.
The 2013 Elantra is more expensive than the base 2012 Honda Civic DX sedan, the 2012 Nissan Sentra and the 2012 Ford Focus sedan, but cheaper than a base 2012 Chevrolet Cruze.
The 2012 Civic DX sedan starts at $16,745, including a $790 destination charge. The 2012 Nissan Sentra starts at $17,210, including a $780 destination charge. The 2012 Ford Focus sedan starts at $17,295, including a $795 destination charge. The 2012 Chevrolet Cruze starts at $17,595, including a $795 destination charge.
The Hyundai configurator does not yet have pricing on the 2013 Hyundai Elantra coupe or the 2013 Hyundai Elantra GT hatchback.
Hyundai says that the 2013 Elantra sedan GLS with a six-speed manual transmission now comes with the same level of equipment as the 2012 Elantra GLS with a six-speed manual transmission with Comfort package. "This means the Elantra GLS M/T now comes standard with air-conditioning, 16-versus 15-inch wheels, cruise control, telescopic steering wheel and solar glass with windshield shade band," the Korean automaker said in a statement.
The 2012 Hyundai Elantra sedan was named the North American Car of the Year.
